The APT Model 131 Backfill Tamper is used for soil compaction, temporary filling of holes, ashphalt packing etc. Applications range from foundation and pavement repair to the installation of power and telephone poles.

Quick Overview

APT Tampers are available with a choice of 3 types of butts:

6 inch diameter round butt (approximately 7 lbs)
3 inch diameter round butt (approximately 5 lbs)
Half moon shaped butt (approximately 5 lbs)

The 3 inch butt is used for compaction in confined spaces and the half moon shape is for compaction around poles and posts.
